Acciaierie d'Italia under extraordinary administration: the new management organization starts

Taranto, April 8th, 2024 - The General Manager, Giuseppe Cavalli, in coordination with the Extraordinary Commissioners Giovanni Fiori, Giancarlo Quaranta, and Davide Tabarelli, has today appointed the new management of Acciaierie d’Italia under Extraordinary Administration, with immediate effect.

The new senior management team, reporting to General Manager Giuseppe Cavalli, is composed as follows: Giuseppe Viola assumes the role of CFO, adding the Administrative and Fiscal areas to his current responsibilities; Daniele Rossi takes on the role of Director of Procurement and Supply Chain. Within the same department, Nicola Pozza assumes responsibility for the Raw Materials Procurement Function. Giulia Costagliola D’Abele has been appointed General Counsel; Claudio Picucci is the new Director of Human Resources and Organization; Andrea Paolo Colombo is the Director of Support Services, responsible for the Compliance and Security areas and the newly established Communication function. Additionally, he remains the Employer for the Milan office, while retaining responsibility for the "Organization and Human Capital Development" service, acting as Chief Reorganization Officer and supporting the Management in the organizational review of the company.

The Internal Audit function will report directly to the commissioners. Following the appointment of the three extraordinary commissioners by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (Mimit), the new leadership is committed to managing the restart plan during this critical phase and pursuing the established objectives, leveraging the extensive skills and experience of the management team.

Claudio Picucci has decades of experience in major national companies in the role of Head of Human Resources and Organization. Among the most significant are Telecom Italia, Poste Italiane, and Autostrade Milanesi. His most recent significant professional role, since 2018, involved managing human resources at ILVA under Extraordinary Administration.

Daniele Rossi has over 25 years of experience in the durable goods sector, holding positions of increasing responsibility in supply chain management, procurement, operations, and business management. Among the most significant are Procter & Gamble, Indesit, and Ariston Group, where he was recently Head of Business America.

Giulia Costagliola D’Abele has decades of experience in the legal field, initially in the industrial sector and later in the cooperative sector. She has previously worked at ILVA, serving as Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs for the Group, and has also been the Legal Director of CNS - Consorzio Nazionale Servizi Soc. Coop.
