Rome, September 3, 2024 - Today in Rome, at the headquarters of Federmanager, a meeting took place between Federmanager and Acciaierie d’Italia S.p.A. in Extraordinary Administration (AS). Representing the company were the Extraordinary Commissioners, General Manager Eng. Maurizio Saitta, and Human Resources Director Dr. Claudio Picucci. Federmanager was represented by General Manager Mario Cardoni, Coordinator of the Steel Industry Commission, Paolo Bonci, and the representative from the Taranto office, Michele Conte.

The company reviewed the first 100 days since the Extraordinary Commissioners took over Acciaierie d’Italia S.p.A. in AS, stating: "During this crucial phase, which includes the process of selling the company on the market, the management restart plan has been aligned with the operational one."

For the operational restart, conditions were initiated to ensure the company's survival through the management and restoration of the plants, while the management restart was driven by a determination to impact the restructuring of key roles. The newly implemented organizational model is now more effective, with a management structure that is highly reliable, fully accountable, and capable of courageously supporting the goals of the commissioner's structure and future challenges, setting a positive example for all its employees. Together with cost management interventions based on principles of solidarity and fairness, this model has also had an immediate positive effect on the motivation of both management and employees.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of complete calm and concluded with the commitment of the parties to collaborate, each in their own role, in the growth of a cohesive and integrated management team. The synergy between Federmanager, with its Management School, and the company's existing Academies will offer the opportunity for new managerial training processes and the development of growth paths that strengthen soft skills. Finally, there was a commitment to schedule further meetings as soon as possible to follow up on what was discussed and to collaborate with Federmanager in launching training projects dedicated to enhancing the managerial culture within Acciaierie d’Italia S.p.A. in AS, with the goal of delivering a normal and attractive company to the market for potential buyers.
